L.A. is a whole different animal than what we’re used to up in NorCal; some might even say it’s a beast. The bar is extremely high & good acting is not enough down there, because it’s also a business. Both Nancy & Kathy make a career in L.A. a lot more approachable, attainable, mentally possible, & a hell of a lot less beast-ey, because they know exactly what it takes to make it. They’ll make you all-around well-rounded & ready for this business. Looking back, I would never have imagined that I’d be an actor, but now I can actually say that I am an actor who auditions in L.A. & I’ve gotten work. None of this would’ve been possible had I not come to First Take. It’s a lot of work, but it’s extremely rewarding because I am continuously growing as an actor and person & always stimulated.
