I am so grateful to FirstTake as it was the place where my passion for acting was re-ignited. Their approach has instilled in me a deep process for script analysis and a very personal way of connecting with circumstances and elements of the characters I am stepping into. I used to think acting was about losing myself in the character but with this approach I am continually discovering new aspects of my own humanity inside of THEM. That personalization creates unique layers in the imagination work, gives dimension to the characters and also in myself.

Nancy Berwid and FirstTake genuinely cares about their students and goes above and beyond to support us in our acting journey and lives. I was inspired by that so much I jumped at the chance to join their stellar teaching team and teach an advanced class. Supporting other actors on their path is super rewarding and it helps reinforce the learnings for myself as well.
